Ground handlers often have to use a number of different Departure Control Systems (DCS’s). Each of these require complex, time-consuming training and staff rostering based on DCS proficiency.

SITA’s PassengerHandler removes these challenges by letting ground handlers access multiple DCSs through one simple and user-friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI).

How it helps

PassengerHandler’s GUI takes information from multiple host systems and displays it in one format, reducing or eliminating complexity.

Our dedicated engineering team ensures ongoing script development and maintenance, as well as proper customer deployment and training.

PassengerHandler allows you to:

  • Customize check-in settings
  • Display passenger lists
  • Display and edit passenger information
  • Access Timatic service (a database containing cross-border passenger documentation requirements)
  • Allocate and change a passenger's seat
  • Print boarding passes (ATB) and baggage tags (BTP)
  • Process standby passengers
  • Offload, on-load and board passengers
  • Display flight information, inventory and seat plan
  • Print reports (DCP)

Why us?

PassengerHandler provides the following benefits:

  • Reduced staff training time and cost – Training for PassengerHandler typically takes 1.5 days, after which staff can check-in several different carriers. This is much shorter than the time needed to train with individual DCSs, greatly reducing training costs.
